whos_that_guy Posted March 13, 2010 Share Posted March 13, 2010 so im outside doing dad a favor and installing his hide away antenna on his 86 corvette since the one in the back doesnt work (didnt work when we got it, so last weekend i went to install the new factory one and theres power wires missing so we're doing the hide away one) and now on the back of the wire, right before it goes in the back of the radio, theres a wire that says DC on it, any idea what it goes to? i already texted afew of my friends and they dont know, i know its not a subbie but i could use the help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
guest user Posted March 13, 2010 Share Posted March 13, 2010 DC aka direct currant. The wire goes to a power source. Make sure it needs 12 volts before you connect it to any power,unless you want to set off the smoke capsules. Much of the newer equipment only requires 5 volts. keep the fire extinguisher close by,Vett's are hard to put out once they start to burn. Good luck.
