dabbdc
For my 09 Legacy GT, how long should it take to change over OEM springs and shocks to Bilsteins and H&R coils. I know we need Subaru adapters from the Spec B to install them.
Bdubs
If you've never done it before, and you are doing it by yourself with no impact wrench? Maybe 3 hours max? Once you've done one rear and one front, you pretty much know how it'll go together on the other side.
kmfuse87
i took my time and it took me maybe 4 hours. I had to stop and get lunch too, hahah. It shouldn't take that long but I wouldn't try to rush it, as Spings can be dangerous
dabbdc
How long should it take a pro in a shop just as a benchmark?
dmanaenk
I will sell you new or slightly used 09 GT with Bilsteins and H&R coils for MSRP + a modest 10%.
DansSpace
Hm, putting springs on my WRX took about four hours. None of us had ever done a spring install, and we had hand tools. I don't see any other group of two or three competent individuals taking longer than that. It's fairly straight forward.
BoozeRS05
I installed assembled bilsteins/swifts by myself, no previous experience and with hand tools. Took about 5hrs, hardest part was breaking the rear lower bolts. Never tried installing the springs tho. kmfuse87
How long should it take a pro in a shop just as a benchmark? At a shop with a lift and power tools. Probably an hour or so, although that isn't factoring into your wait time because shops never have time to just do your job. Why do you ask? Are you trying to beat their times, going into NASCAR? I think they stick to tires, haha. Just kidding with you. Goodluck with the swap.
