whos_that_guy
but the inside seems to be dirty as hell, probably from me drilling into it to install the strobe lights but it looks like water got in there and made it worse so im gonna take the headlights apart and clean them but my question is how can i get the strobe light back out cause i dont think it would be safe to put the headlights in the oven with the strobe installed, its been sealed with epoxy so whats the best way to take them out? http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh265/SayingSorry1988/subaru1.jpg http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh265/SayingSorry1988/subaru2.jpg

Northwoods Snowman
When I did mine on my 97 I just sanded them down with progressively finer sandpaper (got down to 2000 grit), and then polished them with polishing compound. Night and day difference.
Northwoods Snowman
Oh, and I can see WAY better at night. Lights SUCKED before I cleaned them up. Now they're not too shabby.
subikid90
When I did mine on my 97 I just sanded them down with progressively finer sandpaper (got down to 2000 grit), and then polished them with polishing compound. Night and day difference. I did the same to my fog lights, they were pitted bad. They look awesome now. Paid $5 for the sandpaper kit from ebay and $5 for the plastic-x plastic polish. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

d1000rr
I bought the 3M headlight restore kit. Slapped it on my drill and it was easier to do than sanding it down by hand...plus it came with everything you need
