99stocker
So this is a new problem for me. BTW: 05 OBXT Just started yesterday the display is blinking ACC and Err. I don't know if it is related but my security light was flashing like crazy. So for my display I still have outside temp and all the other MPG info. but no ET. This is the only thing not working. Anyone have any ideas?
ehsnils
Can be a temporary fluke - disconnect battery and press brake for half a minute to drain everything and then reconnect battery and see if it still is there. It may also be that the battery is going down the drain causing the voltage to get too low for the electronics to be reliable.
rB5
The no E/T issue is a known defect on '05/'06 trip computers. I believe there was a TSB (tech. service bulletin) issued and it was a warranty fix. I never had mine done (never use that feature) but have the letter that was sent out by SOA somewhere in my files. Not sure about the security light, though - just coincidence?...
99stocker
Thanks for the replies. I will try pulling the battery off. I also read somewhere of "valet mode" with the alarm. If that has a fault it will also blink Acc & Err in the display.
99stocker
OK So I did the valet mode activation and nothing changed. I did however get the Er SP error in my odometer. Also now my backup lights are on with no key in the ignition. Craziness!!
99stocker
Figured it out. It was the TPMS plug, which is exclusive to 2005. All those stupid problems caused by that thing. This is the website I found for it: http://www.import-car.com/Article/46807/tech_tip_subaru_error_code_displayed_in_odometer.aspx
