BruceBruce
when an error code refers to a Bank such as bank 1 or bank 2. Where is it describing? the a/f before the cat or the o2 after? Or am i getting this messed up. ex: p0420 bank 1 sensor. Im tryin to chase down the pending code the mechanic had told me about before it becomes a major problem. I was reading other post about that code and i know it means either the cat is going bad or one of the sensor in the exhaust. Also anyway to tell which cat it would be referring too? im guessing the one before the first cat is an A/F sensor and the other sensor is an o2. yes i know of the 8yr/80k mi warranty on the cats would a dirty maf fling this code also? Hell ill just go get a can of maf cleaner and clean it anyway. cant hurt as long as i dont break it.
