Digi
Hey all, just got off the phone with my local Subie dealer - my 08 LGT 5EAT is going in for its 30K mile service this week. The service guy mentioned that it will take about 4 hours and that "pretty much everything" is covered under my warranty. Stuff that isn't covered, he said, are trans and diff fluid changes that come in at $189.00. He said they are extremely important, so I'm a little surprised they aren't covered under warranty. So my first question is - has that been the case for others? I'm confident I can change these myself when summer rolls around but I drive my car pretty hard and will probably put another 4K miles on before I get around to changing them. How important are these going to be?
Vimy101
^ Warranty stuff is covered by the warranty. Maintenance is on your dime. Fluid changes are crucial at the 30k especially for you as you say you beat on your car. Document the maintenance as outlined in the manual especially if you do it yourself in order to maintain your warranty.
