I own a 97 GTB, completely standard exept for the air filter. Which is now resting in the garage after getting it towed home, I had recently changed the oil and filter but on my latest venture i was changing gear to slow down through an intersection when she died on me. All the lights on the dash were on and would'nt turn over.

Once i got her back home i tried turning it over by hand, no luck, then i thought i'd try backwards and it was quite hard at first but atleast it moved, then unpluged the AFM and turned it over by key, Not good Very big rattles. I have a caved in piston from running too much boost, hence the title of this thead.

I was getting 17 psi from an engine that normally runs 12-14 psi, and all i had done was changing the air filter. So how does eveyone elses engines cope with big boost?
