superduey Posted January 27, 2010 Share Posted January 27, 2010 can anyone tell me the differance between a 97 and 98 trans for a legacy outback with 2.5 ltr? junkyard says 98 won't work in 97, dealer don't know what works because of part number, and tranny shops tell me it will work. what is the differance in the two? and who do i listen to? its a big job to do to find out its wrong. help please. i need my car back. thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
