the no-code fault?

My japan 96 tt GT (not gtb) auto. Goes first 100Km on a journey like it should then when slow down for a small town speed limits cel comes on. Pass through and go above 3000rpm cel goes out.

 

From now on can hear occasional random click of some relay back of steering wheel RHD and know if try to accelerate it will be sluggish. About two seconds after try to accelerate cel will come on. If do not try to accelerate cel stays out. When cel on can boot engine revs by fast kickdown to make it go out.

 

If stop car when cel comes on it remains on at idle. If stop engine and restart immediately cel is still on. Rev engine and cel goes out but comes on again at idle. If wait 10 minutes then restart cel is out.

 

Only code in system is knock sensor.

Replaced knock sensor with 560K resistor to eliminate possibilkity it might be faulty and go for a long hard drive but same scenario except now no codes.

 

Problem is don't know if car will accelerate past truck or not after first 100Km each journey (hot engine?).

Its getting a bit hit or miss like chicken game on narrow country roads.

 

Any suggestions?
