BruceBruce
Anyone here ever purchase one of those warranties that you purchase outside of dealerships? Like the USfidelis or warrantydirect and places like that?
GraysonSubaru
Before you go with one of those types of warranties, ask your dealer or where you will take your vehicle for service if they even accept that warranty company. Some places may not accept that company as a warranty...and your warranty company may only allow you to go to certain places. They may also have something in their warranty where they do not use OEM parts as part of their coverage. Also, some may have you pay for the service then reimberse you for the parts/labor they cover from that bill. You just have to be sure to cover all of your bases when you look into a non factory type of warranty.
tbssubaru
don't do it, get the factory warranty, you can buy them online from dealers all over the country , on a NEW car they do not have to be purchased the same time you buy the car or from the same dealer * i worked for a major aftermarket warranty company for 2 years as a claims adjuster and I would NEVER buy anything other than the manufacturer extended warranty Like grayson said on many you have to: return to the selling dealer if with 60 milesfind a shop that will take the warranty accept used parts have no coverage for seals and gaskets pay per item deductiblespay the difference between what the shop charges and what the warranty company will pay, many aftermarket warranties have an hourly shop rate limit that at least in california is half of what most shops charge if putting warranty on a used car be able to furnish service records for the life of the vehicle, as in before you owned it .
