bill.s
hey everyone i bought my 97 legacy gt 5spd over the summer. when i fisrt got it i changed my timing belt and water pump thermostat. it was running fine for two weeks then it was running horrible. i figuerd my timing was off cause that stuff always happens the belt get a little use and stretch out. i took it all back off and found it jumped 3 teeth fixed it ran just like newbut just recently when i drive at like 65 or over or just randomly in 4th gear doing like 45.it starts to stutter and shake but other than at those speeds it runs great i think its some kind of sensor. have any thoughts

tonyalive
some guy on here advised me it could be a knock sensor on my car, but my fault is simarlar but not like your fault ie mine stutters and jerks on hard acceleration, i also had a recent timing belt change. hmmm??? WESTcoast
it could be a light vaccum leak such as a worn out hose, as i had the same problem not to long ago, when i would be traveling around 35-45 at a low rpm and all of sudden the car would shudder unless i didnt get back on the gas. My problem was due to a vaccum hose leak that i fixed with a new clamp
