babybaluga32 Posted January 13, 2010 Share Posted January 13, 2010 I have a pioneer deck and the presets and everything reset once I start the car. When the engine turns over the lights on the deck turn off completely. I hooked red up to red which I believe is constant 12v's and yellow up to yellow which goes to the ignition switch .. I think. I understand the wiring and everything so im lost? It did the same thing with the deck that was in it when i got it so its not just mine. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
one bad bg Posted January 13, 2010 Share Posted January 13, 2010 you have it backwords red is acc and yellow is constant. heres what you do. disconnect the red and yellow take the 2 comming from the pioneer, twist them together. then touch them to the yellow in your car. if the radio turns on, then the fuse is good. if the fuse is good then check your ground. it could be grounded on something thats only grounded when the car is running.
