fault code reader which to buy ?

Recommended Posts

If you have a contact near the fuse box in the footwell of the driver that looks like the bigger contact on the page in this link: http://www.interfacebus.com/OBDII-to-DB9-pin-cable.html you do have it, otherwise not.

If I'm right it depends a bit on which market you are on, brand and model if the car has OBD-II in '95.

I think OBDII started in 1996, but just go look and see if you have the OBDII connector behind a little door in the dash, under and to the left of the steering wheel.

As for a code reader, I have the more expensive one of the two Harbor Freight offers and it works great.
