joeyjojoe Posted March 31, 2005 Share Posted March 31, 2005 just to offset some of the complaints (real or otherwise) that are being posted: i took my car in to the dealer to get STi pedals installed (they were supposed to be on the car when i got it but the dealership was out of stock ... no big deal) and they gave me a used '00 forester as a loaner. man that thing is a DOG. the clutch length on the car was 1/4 inch, and it was totally digital. the thing made some weird clunking noise when shifting out of 1st or 2nd gear. and the shift knob was this plastic piece of crap that actually hurt my hand. oh oh, and i don't know if all foresters do this, but the car was geared really low so it sounded like i was driving an 18 wheeler. i'm ecstatic with my car after that experience.
