ehsnils
There is a dipstick on the right side of the gearbox for checking the transmission fluid in the gearbox and front differential. Subaru is one of the few cars that have a dipstick for the gearbox instead of a plug. For the rear diff there are two plugs, one upper, one lower. The level shall be at the upper plug.
