One of the issues that it has is it can shift from Park to Reverse without pushing in the lever on the side. Anyone know how I can fix this? Is it easy fix?. Subacy L Posted January 3, 2010 Share Posted January 3, 2010 hmmm ive had an issue like that with my 94 legacy. my problem was that when i pushed the button it wouldnt go in and release the lever so i could shift it. try taking apart the cover right over your gear shift. that plastic thing that the shift handle goes into. there is a few mechanical thingys down that that would be helpful if you just tinkered with them. i cant really tell you exactly that to do but its might be in there somewhere.
