2.5GT_dude
My friend has 1993 Legacy n/a. Today before work the car was making a knocking noise coming from the drivetrain tunnel area and when she was backing after work it stalled. You can only hear the noise when accelerating and right before coming to a stop. There is nothing i can see from looking under the car that would cause it. I was thinking maybe unbalanced driveshaft or possible transmission probs. Any ideas on what might be causing this? BTW: The car stalled when backing out
amp27
now for the drive shaft but o had a knocking noise and today i found out that the noise was a loose wheel. i figured it out when the wheel came off. it sounded like the drive train but was not. pretty sure it was the wheel ha. 2.5GT_dude
lol thx...but its definitely not a loose wheel. I'm also thinking torque bind.
amp27
hmm yea the center diff maybe.. try running in 1st and second to see if it stops. i have noticed this but its not a knock knock all the time. just while spinning tires to not drift.
