peteyjr
My power steering took a dive. It was making noises a few weeks ago then slowly started to get heavier steering (so slowly that it took a drive in my WRX to figure out the effort had increased substantially). Fluid levels are fine so i expect the pump went bad. I've seen used pumps for sale $ 50-75 but would prefer a new one (my understanding is that they are around $ 200. Any input from someone that has had this problem . Of the many Subies I have owned this is a first for me regarding a steering pump.

I'm going to try replacing the clamps before I buy a new pump!
