hal9e3
Anybody have this setup? W/ or W/O TSK3? Opinions?
Darkness of Death
is there a difference on the flywheels?
hal9e3
Yes, 05-06 F/W is dual-mass. 07+ is not and is also, I believe, identical to the 06+ WRX F/W.
hal9e3
Well, I answered my own question. Just installed an 07+ clutch-F/W setup on my 05, replacing the Unorthodox Racing setup I had installed a while back, detailed here. I'm very pleased with the results. Lighter pedal effort than either the stock or UR setup, easier engagement than either setup, much less vibration at low RPM's than the UR setup. I'll write up my install notes when I get a chance. spartan
did you go with the stock 07+ clutch?
hal9e3
This is what I got - 07-09 clutch kit w/ F/W. I need to edit the title of this thread.
KRM
i just installed the same set up. was cheaper going with the newer C/FW than getting the 05 oem C/FW. tsk3 also. i love the feel of this set up. contact fred beans for a good price
hal9e3
Another compelling reason to use this setup - $500 for the 07+ vs. $775 for the 05/06 (Fred Beans prices). I'm hoping the smoother engagement yields a longer life too. I cheaped out and didn't get the TSK3 on FB's advice, but I hope I didn't make a mistake. I have a cricket-like noise when the car is in gear or neutral. It goes away as soon as I touch the clutch pedal. It's only noticeable in neutral and low speeds. Maybe it'll go away...
