GTTuner
Gut your OE pipe. I had an Invidia that cracked at the flange after 60,000 miles or so. A well respected tuner here on the forum told me just to gut my OE pipe. I did and I swear it helped spool. I had really slow spool with the Invidia. As soon as I switched over, I could hit target boost at 2900rpm. The stocker is insulated and doesnt have the heatshield rattle issues some of the STi pipes do. m sprank
In reality the stock pipe on my 08 was just as good as any aftermarket at doing its job. Fit perfect, no restrictions, sized properly for medium sized turbos, heat shields welded in place so no rattles. Just heavy. Very heavy. Like almost 7lbs. All aftermarkets are lighter. KCwagon
I finally went with the Turbo XS up -pipe after a great deal of debate. The Turbo XS is not the least expensive nor is it the most expensive. It has a flex section which I wanted for the ability to upgrade turbos without the fitment issues. It is a beautiful piece.
