FTCHOME2006 LGT G.RED
I have a 2006 Legacy GT that was damaged in a wreck..... It only has 80,000 miles on it and the motor was already replace at 46000 miles due to my dealer not doing the oil change right! Anyways, in the wreck it hit a pole that went behind the headlight towards the hood scoop and did 7000 dollars body damage, per insurance co. now they sent it to a local deal to look at the motor because something hit the timing cover/variable timing pully and shattered the black pully under that! My question is does any one think the motor is shot? Thanks
stephan47
are you talking about the crankshaft pulley?

__raj
A snapped timing belt does not destroy the engine. It causes damage to the valve train IF the engine is running.
