Bostonian1976
Does your gas light come on when you start your car? I have yet to ever see mine, and want to make sure it works. thanks!!
Bostonian1976
low fuel, that is
Bdubs
It comes on only when the sensor on the fuel pump gets to a certain point. It doesn't come on with the other lights as you first start the car.
987687
For me, it comes on with just over 2 gal left. I can get around 70 miles with my gas light on before I run out ... PS, I had a spare tank of gas with me when I found that out. *PHEW*
datdookie
Mine never comes on even when under the line of "E". Is there a way to fix that?
987687
When my gauge goes under E I have quite a while before the gas light comes on.
dante2699yahoo.com
Yeah. Its aways below the E. But I think my fuel pump is bad. Never never ever run it out of gas. I will burn up the Fuel Pump. No gas is bad all around for the pump. It will overheat. Just keep that in mind.
Bostonian1976
what a warped system. I get too nervous even being close to E. I guess I'll never see mine
987687
Mine came on today for a few miles. Then went off again. I'll probably fill up in the next couple days sometime. Can go quite a long way on gas light.
ESSYMOND
My gas light broke or just doesn't come on even when my car ran out of gas and sat there on the road. Any suggestions to fix? could it be the bulb blown?

The gas light comes on at different times. Sometimes its just under the E and sometimes its quite a bit under the E.

streetlethal1000
So it really does have a gas light. I have never seen mine either. I would always go to E and refill and just thought they didnt put one in this car for one reason or another. Ill have to try running it down with spare gas in the back just to see. I am curious now. 987687
When you are filling it up from E, how much are you putting in? You have a 15.9gal tank.

WESTcoast
I once tested that theory to see how much a 10 bucks would get me unfortulently I was fearless and courageous enough to actually run out of gas and was on the side of the road.......oh and doing that i successfully concluded that my gas light does in fact work.
