lester_strud
Just read some info on the NA 2006 Forester 2.5 having an Active Valve Lift System (AVLS) variable valve lift technology, which helps to boost horsepower to 173 (up from 165 in the 2005 models) Probably old news but does anyone know if this is going to be the new 2.5i engine for the Legacy in 2006? Nothing confirmed but I would be highly suprised if all models with the n/a 2.5 do not get this for MY06.

99Stock2.5i
Over 8 HP.... if it gives 20 HP and better gas mileage I might need to swap the heads, PCM, and wiring.
Kuth678
It is true... its listed on Subaru's web site under the forester. There is a small graphic about the 2006 model. The turbo is also raised up to 230hp
