Wanli Tires

I have a set of Wanli 1099 tires on my WRX wagon. I didn't expect much (they were cheap), but I actually really like them for dry conditions. They have held up well, too, and aren't wearing poorly or getting noisy after about 7K miles. After I purchased them I read that Wanli shared its manufacturing facility and designs with another major tire maker (same tires, different branding - don't remember which brand....).

I recently found Wanli 1088 tires on the internet from a couple of different sellers. They are zr rated and, unlike the 1099 model, have grooves that should help with water dispersa (the 1099s are hell in the rain. I'm thinking about getting a set of them for the GT....they seem to be running from $250 to $320 per set.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried them?????? See attached picture or check them out on ebay. I'd be interested to hear thoughts.....
