ultimakf7
It appears to be close to an exact copy of the cobb double adjustable short shifter. I like my Cobb, when you set it up the first time, make sure the set screws are locked down tight.
tjbev21
yea it looks identical to the cobb.. i sent rallysport a email asking if there are plenty in stock, if it gets as short as the cobb, and about the quality
m sprank
Mode makes a few Cobb products. They used to be a source for Cobb. When Cobb discontinued the parts Mode kept making them under the Mode name. Airbox for intake is available from Mode too.

tjbev21
from tanner at rallsportdirect... We do offer the MODE Racing double adjustable short throw shifter for the 5MT LGT / FXT and 08+ WRX models. The quality I would say is identical to the Cobb unit and the adjustments are identical. MODE Racing was started by one of the main engineers for the Cobb shifters so essentially the product is almost the same. We do have plenty in stock and if we don't have enough MODE Racing is local to us so we can get some in a short period of time. http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop/mode-racing-subaru-legacy-forester-wrx-short-shifter-p-4235.html Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks, Tanner

RallySport Direct
Hey guys sorry just saw this thread. Lets get this cleared up. Mode Racing is a Company that was started by Billy Brooks. One of the Head Engineers at Cobb Tuning. Cobb and Billy Parted ways, and Billy started Mode Racing. All the items such as Air Boxes, Short Shifters, Intakes, Hoses and so forth where Billys designed that he made while working for Cobb Tuning. As Cobb Tuning is stopping to make many of these hard parts, Billy is buying the rights to his designs from Cobb tuning and reintroducing them under Mode Racing. They are not Knock Offs, and not Replicas. They are made in the same places using the same techies, and on the same mills as the Cobb parts where. With that being said. Mode Racing shifters are a double adjustable unit that allows you to independently adjust shifter height vs shifter throw length.
