uber124 Posted November 18, 2009 Share Posted November 18, 2009 My car has sat all summer, unbelievable rust underhood, on brakes etc., anyway since back on the road the steering has a bind or something as wheel turned from left to right. Even with motor off and front wheels off ground, it goes from hard to easy as if there is a bind in strut mounts or the rack. Has anyone had this, or have a suggested repair? one bad bg Posted November 18, 2009 Share Posted November 18, 2009 your steering rack is starting to go out in the engine bay. i had the same problem, you might have to replace part of it if its that rusty or if your lucky you can just do what i did and grease up the joints, mine is smooth as new now Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
