Zimm
So I have had an issue with the floormats in my car since I bought it 2 years ago. The floormat would not stay put and slide around. I do have the retainer hook and was using it. What I noticed, though, is that the hook was not securely fixed to the carpet. It seems that the hole in the carpet was elongated and not holding he hook stationary anymore. I am aware of a fix from the dealer to correct this but I choose to try something else. I decided to use a wire coat hanger and bend it up to hold the hook as far back as it would go to prevent the mat from creeping forward anymore. This worked a little but the mat would still pivot around on hook and move. I then took another bit of wire and jammed it under the dead pedal to hold the mat down and in position. The result is that the mat now stays firmly in place and will not move any more. The attached photos illustrate what was done. I wanted to post this up to help others who are having this problem. cfdrumr
is there a dealer fix on this problem? I have the same issue. Is there a part #?
Heytiggr
Very slick - you simply created a retainer clip at the dead pedal. How did you secure it under the dead pedal so that piece of wire does not move?
Zimm
It is just wedged under the dead pedal. It hasn't moved yet and seems very secure.
