nastyhello
I am ordering some gauges from perrin and am getting for sure an oil temp gauge, but am wondering if i should pair it up with a boost gauge or an oil pressure gauge...anyone have input on which to go with? thanks. ClimberDHexMods
This has been answered in either the Interior or Powertrain thread, or both, many times... everyone has an opinion, and they can vary drastically. Your best bet it to research the benefits and limitations of each. Here's a brief snapshot: Boost: can notify you of overboosting (which can blow your engine), or if you're not hitting your boost target. Oil Temp: Great if you want to know when your engine is warmed up, or if you're cooking oil on a track. Practically speaking, you don't need it. Oil Pressure: Lets you know if something is wrong, or if something is very wrong. Can kind of do the job of oil temp... kind of... Do your own research.
