Malone75
I was wondering what is the best exhaust for the spec b ? I have looked at perrin cobb spt magnaflow! I am looking for the best performance gain and sound?
Ryandigi
Love the sound of the Greddy EVOII...not to loud at all and perfect boxer rumble. They do not make it anymore for the leggy though so you would have to find someone trying to part out or does not share my opinion of it.
Malone75
Thanks for the help man yea i don't know what i wana get i want something that has that awesome boxer sound thats why i love subies in the first place besides they r tanks in the snow LOL I just dont wana void my dang warranty and spt is quiet like stock to me. Ryandigi
SPT exhaust is on the really quiet side. HKS sounds good like the Greddy (deep boxer rumble) but not anywhere annoyingly (I find them too loud, but that may be what you want ) loud like the single exhaust STis'. SPT intake will get you the sound, but it sucks as an intake to tune due to the MAF sensor location. It will not void your warranty like you said (neither will any exhaust). DuveyB
i personally have the megan racing quad tip on my 08 specb but i havent installed it yet, when i do i will surely post some sound clips.
scoobydoobie
"Best exhaust" is all a matter of opinion. Power gains are negligible, just go for the look/sound you personally want.
captainhook
I have the SPT cat-back, it sounds good and the materials are top notch. After a salty last winter it polished back up to showroom quality. Here are some video clips, one with the SPT intake + cat-back, and two at stage 2 w/ Cobb SF intake and DP: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_bRkas1xSU]YouTube - Legacy GT w/ SPT cat-back[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wbUQ1eeGf8]YouTube - Legacy GT Stage 2 (turbo-back exhaust)[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=przuMipyFw4]YouTube - Legacy GT stage 2 dyno protune[/ame] I have also seen/heard the magnaflow in person, it's a nice piece and sounds very good as well. hoesiah
I have the SPT on my otherwise stock LGT. It is definately noticeably louder than stock but it is still quiet enough to not be abnoxious. I taken it on a few road trips and it has yet to bother me on the highway, barely any drone.
Bovesnh1
I have the HKS Silent Hi Power. It offers a great sound, really nice boxer rumble, but would drone at highway speed. I had an audio shop install some dynamat in the truck/behind the back seat to reduce the harshness and now I really like it a lot.

tvitarelli
I have had my cobb for 2 years now. I love it. It's deep and throaty and very classic as far as tip design.
goneskiian
Too bad COBB doesn't sell at cat back any longer. Some vendors may still have them in stock.
tvitarelli
Wow that sucks. Maybe you can find a used one or a dealer that has one in stock.
