Mooseman91 Posted September 23, 2009 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Ok guys another question from a noob sabaru owner..my trurbo is not boosting properly my vacum lines are fine well i think..just taken of the airflow sensor and gave it a clean with proper crc airflow sensor crap..but still no go..its sitting around 4 psi on my boost controller also it cums and goes quite reagualy normally i am sitting on 9 psi but when im in forth gear and i put my foot down it goes up to 9 psi and cuts back to 4 bout 4 seconds later..any ideas?oh i have a 1992 sabaru legacy single turbo ej20 engine manuel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bdubs Posted September 23, 2009 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Good old manuel. Have you checked your Boost Control Solenoid? This is such a common malfunction with the early turbos. You can override it and run WG pressure by bypassing it, throw a small vac. line from the WG to the inlet nipple and see if you get more boost that way. Go easy though, there is nothing restricting the boost that way, so you could spin the crap out of it if you aren't careful. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
