Kipper
I have a 93 Suby with 272K miles. I am trying to replace the water pump. I am having some trouble with removing the pulley off of the crank shaft. I have breaker bar and a vice grip style chain wrench and bolt will not move. Any suggestions?? Kipper
I know, I heard a little bit about the starter trick. Is it the one where you put the breaker bar on the frame or the ground and turn the engine over??
Bdubs
Yes. You have an automatic? If so, there is an access hole to the torque converter on top of the transmission. You can throw a big honkin screwdriver in it to prevent the crank from spinning. This is the method I use for Auto's.
