itzed
Doing a stock brake and rotor replacement on my 2006 2.5i and the pads came with two packs of grease/molly/whatever, one pack black stuff and the other pack gold colored. The directions are a little confusing, but I'm guessing I use the black stuff on the shim and shim cover, and the gold stuff just on the spring pads? ehsnils
If you have floating calipers the black grease should go on the pins that the caliper floats on and the gold on other pieces, but be careful when greasing so you don't get grease on the piston seals since the grease may attack the rubber. And of course - no grease on the rotors!
