Scotty
One of my OEM mudflaps is broken. I was thinking about making some mud flaps like Rally Armor but out of carbon fiber. Two layers would keep it flexible enough. Would this be too ricey?
rallyInspired
thats a little riced imo. what color is your whip?
Siper2
I think it's kind of silly, but it's your car.
Ssej
I wouldn't personally put expensive, fragile carbon fiber to catch rocks and dirt flying off my tires, but hey, if you got the money... ^_^
atc5
carbon fiber is actually quite durable.

mustangendsley
why would you spend that kind of money that rocks and everything the tires can throw at on?
Siper2
Do any of the FAQs on this forum have a DIY version? Brian "North Ursalia" from NASIOC put together a template for the GC6 Impreza yeeeeeeeears ago... I made some from my old car. Something similar would be cool for the Legacies. http://www.northursalia.com/modifications/exterior/stiflaps/stiflaps.html
Ssej
carbon fiber is actually quite durable. It is relatively durable, I had a CF hood on my last car. But, with rock chips and things constantly bouncing off of it, most likely the clear coat will crack, which will lead to fading, and eventually it will most likely look like crap. Scotty
It wouldn't be that expensive to make. The amount of carbon fiber used would be about $20, plus $5 worth of epoxy, and a 6 pack of Corona to get time on the water jet at work. I wouldn't clear coat it.
