Trent Bates
Hi all, In addition to my LGT, we have a 2003 Legacy Sedan. Quite a while back, the keyless entry system stopped chirping. I've followed the instructions on the back of the remote and also the service manual and have confirmed that the chirping should be happening, but isn't. Today my Wife says she heard it chirp a few times in a intermittent manner which gives me the impression that it's a bad solder joint in the "chirper". The problem is, I can't find it. I can't get it to make noise, so I can't figure out where it is! The wiring diagrams don't seem to indicate where it is either. We don't have a "Security Horn" or the relay for it which is all that I can find information about. Does anyone know where it is and what it looks like? It seems that I remember it sounding like it was near the front bumper, but I don't see it when I remove the headlights and look around in the fenders. Any suggestions are appreciated! Dunavan
Is the system factory installed or after market?
Trent Bates
It's the factory Alpine/Subaru system with the Blue and Orange buttons on the fob.
