DukeTrout
The black plastic mesh is the best. metal mesh painted black will eventually ALWAYS chip, requiring a respray. The plastic takes quite a beating without apparent damage. Plus, it comes in 25' rolls, so you can go through a grille every few months and never run out during the life of your car. Ich bin echt viel netter, wenn ich nuechtern bin. Echt!
Throttlejockey
I got mine here. http://www.customcargrills.com/products.asp?id=27 Not the cheap crap like HD, which probably isn't big enough for the 08-opening anyway. I got the powder coated mesh and it's still perfect. No chips in over a year.

Hanslo
I got my mesh from the grilleguy on ebay. It costs about $45 and is pre-cut to shape. It is probably about as sturdy as two pieces of metal gutter guard stacked together. It comes in both silver and black. I don't know if they are providing mesh/grilles for the '09s yet or not. Hope this helps, Hanslo
