Mrlantra Posted March 14, 2005 Share Posted March 14, 2005 Today was test and tune day so I paid my $60 monopoly money and got 3 runs ( thats $10 us ). just so you know the fuel here is 95 ron at best, tho more than likely 93 ron ( Ie for the pump octane comparison thats 90-89 octance fuel! ) next time I'm getting racing fuel for sure! ( btw racing fuel here is like $20Us a gallon! ) Temp was 37c, elevation ~ 400 ft Best run ( the first one at that! ) was 15.93 @ 86.87 mph the times went down significantly after that, next run was a 16 flat then a 16.3 I believe heat soak set in ( despite my efforts of spraying water over the intercooler before each run ) . I'm basically bone stock auto tranny. So my quest for next weekend is 1. better fuel! 2. better cooling! 3. figure out some cheap easy to do DIY mod untill I can get real parts ( AVO intercooler here I come! ) Over all it's not that bad considering this is the first outing on the track with the wagon, tho my previous car ran 14's.
