Could use some help with lowering..

So i have some new rims on my 98 Legacy GT but all of my suspension is stock. As a typical problem my rear fenders were rubbing so i had them rolled by my friend, but they still rub so he tried to pull them but they were being stubborn. So he recommended camber bolts and lowering springs. It is very difficult for me to find lowering springs for my car. He said to get Megan Racing Springs because he has had good luck with them and they are cheap, but once again, none for my car..I will definitely buy the camber bolts but i need some suggestions for the springs..What brands? And where can i find them for my car? Personal experience would be great. Thanks guys:)

jantzen8895 - first of all, what size & offset are your wheels? The BD chassis Legacy is very specific to offset & width. Running too low of an offset will result in rubbing.

Depending on the wheels you have, you're safe to run +48mm with a 7.5" wide wheel on 225 or 235 section width rubber.

We design springs specific to engine/chassis/tranny combination for the BD/BG/BK Legacys.

Just to give you an idea:

This is one of our customer's BK's running our Sport Spec springs + KYB GR2 struts:

They are a 45 offset. I talked to a guy who said that my car can't fit any bigger than 40 and thats why i'm rubbing. I know that the rims are too big for my car but i'm willing to try and make them fit rather than buying new ones. I have bought camber bolts for the rear and i want lowering springs but i can't find any for my car.

jantzen8895 - What size are your tires? Also, what width is your wheel?

We have plenty of customers with our Sport Spec springs running 17" wheels between 7-8" wide between +48 & +53mm offset to fit 225/45/17 as well as 235/45/17 tires without any rubbing issues.

You must be rubbing the rear fenders with the +45mm offset.

Depending on your wheels, the hub may have enough material for you to have them machined down to get you to the +48 offset (3mm of machining).

Drop us a PM if you're interested in running our springs. The green Legacy Sedan pictured is running our Sport Spec Springs with AGX's with 17x7.5" wheels +48mm offset and 215/45/17 tires.
