msr7878
I am thinking about replacing my 2003 Mercury Marauder with an '05 Legacy GT. I haven't even driven one yet however I am confident I will not be dissapointed, I just was wondering if you guys on this board think that I can get more than 20mpg out of the GT at 65-70 all highway, also does the Legacy require premium fuel? Thanks in advance for your opinions/advice P.S. What does a stock Legacy GT do in the 0-60 and the 1/
Mr. CentralOhioSubarus
Legacy requires premium. You can get more the 20 mpg on the freeway. I really love the Maruder. I'd say that if you are looking for a car that is fast in all weather, then the Legacy GT would be a good move. 1/4 ~ 14.X @ 90-100 0-60 ~ 5.
Jedi Pimp
Cruising at 65-70 you will get above 20mpg with no problems - its how fast you get up to 65-70 by using the boost is where the gas gets eaten. The legacy does require premium because of the turbo for optimum performance, althrough you can run regular and the knock sensor/computer will pull timing and your performance will suffer during acceleration. msr7878
If I have done my mathe correctly, the Legacy GT is/should be considerably quicker than my Marauder, I will find out tommorrow when I test drive one.

red beast
with cruise control i get about 27 mpg (H-6) on the highway. once you start to romp on it the gas mileage plummits.
CDubbs
I get about 19-22/g at 85-95 on the sloping hills of I55 from chicago to springfield IL. This is on the stock tires all winter with the climate control on and the windows up. No, the name has nothing to do with bragging about 20 inch wheels...
