jcSKYhigh Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 I took my car in for warranty and they said that if my car has no cats it will void the warranty. Is this true? The lady made a lame excuse saying that w/ out the cats it will bring in junk into the engine. WTF? Cats just reduce emissions! I don't get it. I live in southern California, if anyone would trade me their stock ones for my after market ones just for the time being and switch after the car is fixed i will give them 100 bucks. one bad bg Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Isn't having no cats illegal in Cali? no cats is an understatement for cali. i dont live there now but i used to... look at some performance websites, a lot of them wont ship any performance mod even as little as a chip to a cali address. cali has the strictest emmissions testing in the US. when me n my mom moved there from GA with her jeep. it was in perfect running condition and passed echeck in GA, when we got to cali she had to do 3k worth of "mods" just to get it to pass echeck Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
