The Murdocta
Yup, its funny too because I heard the commercial for the auto glass repair company saying exactly what happened to me right after it happened. Will it Blend? That is the question!
Bdubs
Yikes. Perhaps something had weakened it prior to you spraying it down. Doesn't take much for something like that to happen. Make sure they replace it with one which has the heating elements in the windshield.
TPLGT
I am on my 3rd windshield (which is cracked as well ...since installation)...so I know the feeling. Safelite has replaced all of them. slushboxgt
I am on my 3rd windshield (which is cracked as well ...since installation)...so I know the feeling. If they keep breaking it's because they are either not sitting perfectly flat in the channel, or the opening is twisted from a previous accident, or they are not using the correct (read more expensive) adhesive. Even the most minor piece of welding slag or rust that keeps it from sitting absolutely flat can cause this, as well as even a minor channel deformation from previous accidents. The adhesive is also critical, because once bonded the windshield essentially becomes a structural element of the roof assembly. Good luck, Paul
