Heat
I'm probably being paranoid... but... I have an '09 LGT 5 speed and recently received a stage 1 tune through the AP from a trusted vendor on this site. The only other thing that isn't stock is the AVO drop in filter. I plan on doing data logging, etc. soon enough. The turbo has been significantly louder. (I like it) To the point: Today I was on the open highway in 5th gear, 4500 rpm's or so for the first time since the new tune. I could hardly believe how loud the turbo was. Was anyone else taken aback regarding how loud the turbo can be after a stage 1 tune? Normal? Thanks in advance.
spec.b
This is probably due to the air filter more than the tune... I started to really hear my turbo / bov when I put in a CAI.
Spec B
more boost = more turbo noise..enjoy it. But stage 1 isn;t much louder than stock..especially if you have the stock filter.
Heat
Thanks... same thing my friend just told me. I figured I was being paranoid. I have the AVO drop in so that probably accounts for a little extra noise. I enjoy the sound a lot!
Ssej
I didn't notice any change in sound when I went from stock to stage 1 recently...so I'd say 99% likely that it's the filter as well.
rock2534
I have the AVO filter with the stock tune, and yes I can hear the turbo much better now. So how do you like the stage 1 tune? Notice a difference?
fonts
An AVO filter will increase the turbo volume slightly. Only slightly.

Heat
As I hinted at above, stage 1 cobb made the car feel smoother, especially lower rpm's. The tuning alliance stage 1 is like... wow compared to cobb or stock. As I said though, sometimes there is a very high pitched whine from the turbo. Oddly enough, it seems louder at times.
