2mchbst Posted June 4, 2009 Share Posted June 4, 2009 I just finished taking my turbo off after getting the P0011 and P0021, which by what I read on the thread, almost always indicated a dead turbo. Sure enough the shaft broke and all the fins are chipped. Anyway, I need a local shop that has exeptional experience rebuilding our turbos. Any suggestion on who to go to and who to avoid? 2mchbst Posted June 12, 2009 Author Share Posted June 12, 2009 It looks like IFI turbo are not rebuildable because they do not sell rebuild kits. I've been getting a lot of "Oh it's a turbo for a subaru, sorry can't help ya". The last shop (DT Motorsports) said they could do it, then they contacted IFI because they couldn't get a kit anywhere and they were told that IFI doesn't sell them. So now I'm looking at a VF52 replacement for $850 that I found or a Mitsubishi turbo which is compatible and rebuildable. I have 2 turbos that need rebuilds, VF22 and a Momentum 40T share how its going on the rebuild. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
