RainierGT Posted May 30, 2009 Share Posted May 30, 2009 156k mi w/ the auto tranny. Every morning I have to be patient to get it to shift out of "park" to go to work. The button won't depress and every time I try to push the button I hear a clicking noise coming from the steering column. This issue seems to be heat related because when it's colder, say 50 degrees or less, the issue is more pronounced. During the middle of a warm day, or after it has been driven to work it seems to be far less frequent. The other issue is that it seems to be a very hard shift from 1st to 2nd, and sometimes acts almost like it's a double shift, boom-boom. It's kind of difficult to describe, but the shift from 1st into 2nd is definitely more pronounced than the other shifting points. I don't recall my 99 Legacy SUS acting this way when I owened it, but that's been over 3 yrs ago. I've slept since then. Any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
