fullerslgt
so i just installed the sways and endlinks on front and back and the directions say to make sure that the endlinks are perpendicular to the ground. i got them as close as possible but they still dont seem to be perfect. anybody have the same problems, or is it a problem? http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/irdelis_2006/DSC01539.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/irdelis_2006/DSC01536.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/irdelis_2006/DSC01537.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/irdelis_2006/DSC01534.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/irdelis_2006/DSC01533.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/irdelis_2006/DSC01535.jpg and of course my son helping me along the way...as much as possible. lol http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h169/irdelis_2006/DSC01520.jpg
captainhook
Haha, cute picture of the little guy. I'm pretty sure my Perrin sways+endlinks line up the same way as yours.
YCAGEL TG
Same here, couldn't get them completely straight either. Love the double mohawk.
Zwever
lovely stuff - have the 25mm kit for more than a year now and loving it.
m sprank
I had to add extra washers front and rear just to get as close as possible. Still not perfect, either.
captainhook
I had to add extra washers front and rear just to get as close as possible. Still not perfect, either. You think it's worth taking it apart to add washers?
m sprank
You think it's worth taking it apart to add washers? The instructions state "Included with the kit are extra 3/8" washers to help align endlink perpendicular to the ground. NOTE: It is critical to align endlinks perpendicular to the ground when suspension is loaded. Failure to do so can damage endlinks." The included washers were not enough. So I went and bought more 3/8" grade 8 washers and used 2 more per endlink to get the alignment as close as possible. The endlink pivot is a Heim joint. If the joint is forced (at an angle) beyond its limit, it WILL snap. That is why it is important to align them perpendicular to the ground. That way the suspensions range of motion does not exceed the endlinks range of motion.

m sprank
Hmm, looks like I'm going to Lowes. Lowes has them. I got them there. Just make sure you get the grade 8. Everything else is hardware, not automotive strength.

I don't suppose you remember what size . . .
m sprank
Great, thanks! I don't suppose you remember what size . . . 3/8", just like the ones that Perrin supplied. Lowes actually had them in my area.

Is the stock bolt long enough to fit the correct number of washers?

The bolt supplied by Perrin was more than long enough. All I needed were the extra washers.
4wdrift
I would also recommend something like these.... http://ep.yimg.com/ip/I/yhst-49187380673845_2054_23461054 So you don't have to experience this... http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q154/4wdrift/Legacy%20pics/DSC00470.jpg I got about two years of use with occaisional spirited cornering (wife typically drives the Legacy) before they let go. If you drive any more agressively that the average housewife then you might consider the reinforced mounting brackets.
captainhook
The Perrin kit actually includes stout mounts to prevent this.
m sprank
From the pics looks like there are no support brackets installed in the rear. My Cobb bars came with extra supports as well. Deff. recommend getting something before a mount tears out.
