Miracle Worker Posted May 13, 2009 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Pretty much ever since I got the car I've noticed a clunk that sounds like it's coming from the front right once I start moving. It only does it if the car is sitting for a prolonged period of time, a couple of hours. Sounds almost like a flap closing. I tried to recreate it but no luck. Ro_ Posted May 13, 2009 Share Posted May 13, 2009 I actually just picked up my first Subaru (a 2009 Legacy) last week. and I was curious about this same "clunk / flap closing" sound. From doing some research I found it is likely the ABS Self-Test that is done once the car is started up and reaches a certain minimal speed.
