brooklyngenius
so I have a set of Stechs springs for my 09 and I know from my 05 that the rear sags but I was wondering what size is the optimum saggy spacers for these springs?? I see 1/4, 1/8, and 1/2 inch spacers. I'd like the smallest one necessary to take away the sag. useless signature line where i cant mention my sponsors "First Bagged BL5!" GTTuner
What struts are you going to use? If you go STI top hats I'd go with the 1/2 shims.
brooklyngenius
it was just going to be stock struts for now. I have something much nicer planned down the road but I can't ride stock height like this useless signature line where i cant mention my sponsors "First Bagged BL5!" m sprank
Using the Geo metro wheel studs in your rear top hats in place of the stock studs will allow you to use 3/8" spacers and still have approx. the same amount of threads to bolt to as stock. If you use 1/2 spacers and these studs you will only have about 2 threads to bolt to. Stock studs will not work with 1/2 spacers. With 3/8" spacers stock studs give you about 2 threads to use. I am using Swift springs (wagon model on a sedan) with Tokico HTS struts and Spec B top hats. With the 3/8" spacers and 90lbs of stereo equipment in the trunk my car sits level to the eye.
