For details: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110199 I know there are quite a few of you with the JDM front end conversions on here. Some of you are missing the final touches such a JDM front lip Wondering if there is enough interest in running a lip that will fit onto the JDM front bumpers ONLY. Picture is for illustration purposes only! http://nyomi.arith.com.au/parts/Bumper_GT.jpg A few quick details: This lip would be made of FRP, in Canada, and unpainted. Would require something like 6 or so minimal orders to make this happen. Price TBA, but a very good one
johndas
I'm rinning the STI spec B lippage...I use it as my curb checker! Always up for new interesting stuff though! Keep me in the loop! J

katalyst
i donno if that's the best pic to use since that one is the aftermarket z/s lip which i'm assuming would be pretty difficult to reproduce
Adriftoc
Looks sick. if the price is right I may be down.

We want to make something very very very similar It'll be like the product you mentioned, but not with that branding and without the hectic price tag (which let's face it, is mainly due to the costs of importing from overseas). patriki
There is.. But since its no my own product, I kinda have this internal dilemma We will be working on a 08-09 Lip kit soon however for the USDM Legacy shortly. Yet to see much interest in the 05-07 USDM kit that we made, hence we are kind of being hesitant at the moment. I hope that once we get proper pictures of the 05-07 USDM lips up then the interest will increase. Hopefully this week Alex@D2 http://www.DriveDynamics.ca

patriki
The price of the lip will still be cheaper, not sure what shipping costs would be like though.. Would be interesting to see just out of curiosity though! Shoot me an address so I can check with some of the shipping companies just so I know at least Alex@D2 http://www.DriveDynamics.ca
Jim_KT
I might be interested later on down the road. Like a fellow JDM lipper said, the front lip has pretty much been used to protect the bumper.

patriki
Ok guys, I worked out the details. We would need at least 7 people who would be willing to buy in the original group buy. The introductory cost would be $235USD including shipping in US and Canada. We would only need 7 people to make it happen, and would limit this up to a maximum of 30. Considering all things and price, I think it would be VERY easy to get the minimal 7 at the price.

johndas
As a JDM front end owner I would of course look for a JDM fitment...! But for pure numbers and of course viability I think the money is in the 08+ Usdm fitment! J
patriki
JDM front bumpers? That's possible as well... Woud one say that paying $1300-1500 for something similar to this is too much (it would include JDM beam as well as all the needed clips and brackets, or just $500 for cover only): http://carview-img02.bmcdn.jp/carlife/images/UserCarPat/472082/p1.jpg
DarkOblivion000
I would rather want one that looks like this: http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~delta_co/prodimage/prod08up49.jpg The beam? Do you mean the metal beam behind it? Would we really need that? Sorry, not familiar with front bumper conversions at all... But $500 for just the bumper sounds very reasonable; I would definitely hit it up!! I guess if we need the metal beam to do the conversion I would consider it as well. katalyst
typically it's hard foam that allows for some energy absorption in light frontal impacts i'd be a little scared to run a bumper shell without anything protecting my radiator and subsequently engine. DarkOblivion000
Oh the foam piece, okay. So this bumper wouldn't fit over our current existing beam? It doesn't seem like the shape of the bumpers are really that radically different, just the stylings on them, like the size and shape of the foglights, etc.
katalyst
the shape and style aren't that different, but the USDM bumper sticks out a lot more whereas the JDM one is more "flat" nosed so to speak i never really understood why, supposedly for safety regs but then looking at the designs coming from bmw/lexus and other marques, they clearly have designs that are more "flat nosed" similar to how the jdm legacy front bumpers are
