MiniStiGuy
I've never blacked them out but I can clear them in under 30 minutes OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
MiniStiGuy
I just don't have much free time to do anything these days which is why I didn't mention myself in the first place. Doctor Chu is a very good friend of mine and he has done a few sets and probably has more free time available than I do. Hanger
blacking them out takes more time than you can imaging gotta mask the projector chrome trim and the reflector area. We did 5 coats of spray can and wait 20 minutes in between. Pain in the ass ○ ○ ○ Instagram: itshangertime :spin: ○ ○ ○
MiniStiGuy
this next time I open mine I'll probably be doing some painting but we'll see. I even have a possible led idea that I might try as well but I have to test it out on my spare light first. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro

a.lim
most important part is resealing. i had to take mine apart 2 times because there was a leak in the seal which allowed moisture to build inside the lens. not fun.
jsalicru
I've done it a couple of times for different people. The main problem is that it's time consuming. It isn't generally challenging like needing help in installing a rear BBK or something like that. It just takes time and patience to mask everything, paint everything, then put it back together. I kinda wish I had the will power to do mine again. I did mine in black and now wish I would have done more of a titanium color on the whole thing. Black was just too much contrast with the white, IMO. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. And that he tops his cereal with nuts and bolts. All we know is, he's called the Jose." jsalicru
I'm actually considering it. The one thing though is... I have a rockblocker kit on it... which although good for you since it's been on since the first week I had the car, it means that I would need to get another set. Perhaps we can work something out.. Here's a picture of mine. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. And that he tops his cereal with nuts and bolts. All we know is, he's called the Jose."
