Bad drivers in grocery store parking lots

Recommended Posts

So two weeks ago I notice 3 gouges in my left side rear door while leaving the post office. The gouges are deep, all the way down to bare metal. It'll have to be repainted or it'll just rust. Man was I bummed.

I thought about it and it had to happen in the grocery store parking lot. I usually park far away from other cars but with all the snow recently, that wasn't an option. Looking at the damage, I can tell that the driver hit my car because they drove the wrong way down the aisle. So, say the spots are all lined up like this: \ \ \, then the driver must have driven into the spot coming in from the left instead of the right.

Fast forward to today. I find a spot, and park between a Camry and a VW Passat. As I leave, the Camry is still there and the VW is backing out. The VW is super clean so I figure this guy cares about his car and won't hit mine. He doesn't and leaves. I load up the groceries, my Mom gets in, and I go return the cart. As I'm coming back to the car, I see that a woman in a Honda minivan pulling into the empty spot. It looks like she's parked kinda close. I get in my car and ask my Mom if she hit my car. She said the woman whacked my mirror getting out of her car. Now I'm furious. Dammit, why didn't my Mom just say something when the lady hit my mirror? I get out and check the mirror. No damage. Ok.

I now notice that there's a passenger in the Honda. So, I knock on the window and tell her to tell her driver to be more careful next time. She immediately gets defensive yelling about how they just parked there. Duh! If you didn't just park, my Mom wouldn't have just seen you hit my car!

God, I hate bad drivers. Even worse are bad drivers in POS cars. The Honda's left side had all sorts of damage to it. Just because you drive a POS car and don't care about it doesn't mean I don't care about mine!

:soap_box:

Sometimes you just gotta get even.---Oops! I'm so sorry lady! But it was slippery and I accidently lost my footing and dented the side of your van with my foot! ;)

Heh. Believe me, had there been damage, I would not have let it go. I probably would have let this one go without saying anything if it hadn't been for the other damage. I'm just tired of people who are either oblivious or as legacyurabus mentioned, have no respect for other people's property. It does amaze me how calm Scruit has been with his incident.

I was parked at some relatives for about a week, drove home, and then realized that a car pulling out of the spot next to me scraped all teh way down the rear left bumper. Could of happened anytime over the week, but they didn't leave any notes or at least a c-note under the wiper!

Some kid, probably just got his license, was driving an escort and bumped my front bumper leaving a bit of blue paint... I got so mad it him, I don't think he'll ever do that again... I have long hair and a beard, I think I scared him shitless LOL. And yes, it did just buff right out :)
