SayingSorry1988
so i have a 99 subaru legacy in need of a motor swap i saw a 94 twin turbo motor on ebaymotors asking 1050 for it plus another 275 to ship it the motor only has 40,xxx to 60,xxx miles on it would the swap work? i know i would need the intercooler and ECM for it
caschmidt
youll need to do more rresearch, but nasioc has some good swap info. Your 2.2 or 2.5 transmission will not be able to handle the fury of the twin turbo EJ20. Plus the EJ20 was not the most reliable of subarus engines. The whole swap will prob cost you way more than your looking to spend
SayingSorry1988
it comes with the tranny also and i do have money to fool around with but i'll check out nasioc also

caschmidt
oh ya forgot that. that is definitely true youll need to get some new parts with the steeering or something, I honestly dont know much, but a swap is a lot harder that ya think. You'll need the ecu for that engine, most likely new driveshaft due to different lengths ( that may only be if your car is auto), rear differential is probably a different ratio, various clutch parts.. etc
